I lead backend development for Breitling’s global e-commerce platform, building the APIs, integrations and message-driven systems that serve customers in more than 140 countries. I made the platform multi-brand, launching e-commerce for Universal Genève (opens in a new tab) and Gallet (opens in a new tab). Before that I spent six years at CERN writing software to monitor and control the power converters of the accelerator complex. I like building beautiful web applications.

Converter Controls Software
Lead developer of FGC Commander, a web app to monitor and control thousands of power converters across the accelerator complex, with interactive data visualisation.
Architect of FGC-API, a unified REST and WebSocket interface for real-time access and control, secured with OAuth2 and RBAC tokens.
Owned containerisation and orchestration with Docker, Traefik, Kubernetes, Helm and Argo CD, leading two colleagues.
Ran recruitment interviews and coding challenges, and was part of the 24/7 on-call rotation for mission-critical infrastructure.
Lead developer of FortLogs, the storage engine for power converter acquisition logs (analog, binary, Bode, pole-zero and tabular), built for real-time analysis and historical retrieval. REST API with OAuth2 and live WebSocket streaming, used by more than 5,000 power converters.
Led the team’s move from Perl to Python as its first Python developer. Ported the device-communication libraries (Serial, TCP/IP, UDP, GPIB), automated testing and releases, and ran tutorials.
